The House of Commons Science and Technology Select Committee is to hear evidence from chief scientist John Beddington on the subject of the Government Office for Science’s annual review at 9.15am on 24 October.
It will be followed at 10.15am by witnesses for the committee’s inquiry into engineering skills. They will include Steve Radley, director of policy at the Engineering Employers Federation; Lyn Tomkins, UK operations director for the Sector Skills Council for Science, Engineering and Manufacturing Technologies; and Richard Earp, education and skills manager, National Grid.
