‘Immediate action’ urged on bovine TB in Northern Ireland

The Northern Ireland Assembly Committee for Agriculture and Rural Development has called on the NI government to urgently investigate a rapid increase in bovine TB.

The committee’s report, published on 28 November, follows an eight-month inquiry into bovine TB. It estimates that the disease has cost Northern Ireland around £317 million over the 15 years to March 2011.
