MPs to quiz academics over NICE

Members of the House of Commons health select committee will hear evidence from academics at the next session of their inquiry into the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence.

The witness panel on 4 December will comprise Peter Smith, a professor and special associate at the Nuffield Trust; Peter Littlejohns, a professor in public health at King’s College London; Albert Weale, a professor of political theory and public policy at University College London; the chairman of NICE, Mike Rawlins; and the chief executive of NICE, Andrew Dillon.
