Peers condemn ‘scandalous’ tuition fee differences

Members of the House of Lords have demanded that the UK and Scottish governments find ways to prevent unfair treatment of students from the rest of the UK who attend Scottish universities.

Michael Forsyth, a former Secretary of State for Scotland in John Major’s government, urged ministers to end the “scandalous discrimination” against students from England, Wales and Northern Ireland over tuition fees.
