Welsh Assembly assesses medical technologies

A Welsh Assembly committee is calling for expert opinions on medical technologies as they prepare to launch an inquiry.

Members of the Health and Social Care Committee plan to begin an inquiry in autumn 2012. To plan this, they are calling for comments on three topics: the uptake of medical technology in Wales and possible barriers to this, appraisal processes for new medical technologies and how NHS Wales makes decisions on new medical technologies.
