Reopened Scottish Parliament promises to be more agile

The Scottish parliament reopens on 4 September with changes to its timetable designed to make the body more responsive to the big issues of the day, according to MSPs.

Under its new format, the chamber will sit on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons. Committee meetings will take place on the mornings of these days.
