NC3Rs shows impact on animals

The National Centre for the Replacement, Refinement and Reduction of Animals in Research is to label work that it funds to provide information on its potential impact on research animals.

This labelling will be applied to NC3Rs research grants, studentships and fellowships in 2014, plus the centre’s data-sharing programmes with academia and industry.

The labels will give details of the number of animals and species likely to benefit from the work, and which of the three “R”s it focuses on.
