The first step has been taken to build a £12-million performing arts and technology innovation centre at the South Eastern Regional College, a further and higher education college in Bangor, Northern Ireland.
The centre will provide facilities for the Schools of Manufacturing and Electrical Engineering, Computer and Software Engineering and Performing and Creative Arts, including a 350-seat theatre and recording facilities.
In a statement, Ken Webb, the principal of the college, said the completed centre would attract 400 full-time students and would provide a range of part-time courses.
