Leaving the single market would harm every major sector of the UK economy, a report by the Centre for Economics and Business Research has found.
Open Britain, which replaced the official Remain campaign after the UK’s vote to leave the European Union, has commissioned the Centre for Economics and Business Research to produce a report on the importance of various industrial sectors to the UK economy, and their reliance on being able to trade within the EU’s single market.
The UK government had said that it might try to negotiate a sector-by-sector approach for a free-trade agreement between the UK and EU.
