EU-based Brits in no hurry to return home

British academics working in continental Europe have said they would be reluctant to move back to the UK even if the country crashes out of the European Union in March 2019.

The UK government has said it will not eject EU nationals from the country in the event of a no-deal Brexit. But British researchers based in other EU states are still waiting for an equivalent guarantee protecting their rights to live, work and benefit from public services in their current homes.

Despite this uncertainty, few of these expat academics seem to be planning to move back to the UK.
