Nuffield funds grants to scrutinise election campaign

Funder gives over £200,000 to organisations including Full Fact and the Institute for Fiscal Studies

The Nuffield Foundation has awarded grants to a number of organisations to ensure that the general election debate is underpinned by “independent, rigorous analysis and fact checking”.

The charitable trust that aims to improve social well-being announced on 12 November that it had awarded £60,000 to the fact-checking charity Full Fact to scrutinise claims made ahead of the general election.
