British Computer Society calls for digitally-ethical election, amid voters being used as ‘lab rats’

Politicians are being reminded to use data ethically in the run-up to the general election amid fears that major political parties are unfairly targeting voters on social media.

In a statement published on 8 November, the British Computer Society, the professional body for the digital industries, set out 10 guidelines for a digitally ethical election.
