Conservative, Labour and Liberal Democrat candidates commit to increasing R&D spend but differ on Brexit

Science representatives from the three major UK political parties have pitched their promises to the research community ahead of the general election.

Members of the scientific community gathered at the Royal Society on 19 November for the Research and Innovation Election Hustings, organised by the four national academies, alongside the Campaign for Science and Engineering, and the Foundation for Science and Technology.
