Political parties urged to support researchers in forthcoming election manifestos
Political parties must commit to maintaining the UK’s place as a world leader in science and research in their upcoming general election manifestos, the country’s representative network of universities has urged.
Publishing its own manifesto of demands, Universities UK highlighted the need for UK institutions to be able to attract and retain staff from across Europe and beyond if the government’s ambitious productivity targets are to be met.
