Research fears emerge over trade deal with the US

Concerns raised after election row over pharmaceuticals in post-Brexit UK-US trade deal

A social justice campaign group has warned that including the pharmaceutical sector in a proposed UK-US trade deal would have major negatives for the research sector.

During election campaigning last week, Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn claimed that a leaked UK-US trade dossier proved the National Health Service and the pharmaceutical industry would be part of post-Brexit trade negotiations.
