Skidmore tries to reassure MPs over post-Brexit EU research links

Science minister ‘determined’ to work towards Horizon association but says joining depends on final regulations

As the 31 January Brexit deadline approaches, the science minister has reassured MPs over access to funding from the European Union research programme, Horizon Europe, after the UK leaves the bloc.

Responding to questions in parliament on 20 January, Chris Skidmore said he was “determined to work towards association with Horizon Europe, the successor to Horizon 2020, but we need to know what the final regulations are”.
