UK announces ‘environmentally friendly’ infrastructure partnerships with five African countries

The UK government has announced billions of pounds worth of investments at a technology and innovation-friendly summit with African leaders.

During the first UK-Africa Investment Summit on 20 January, international development secretary Alok Sharma announced “environmentally friendly” infrastructure partnerships with Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya and Uganda.
