‘Don’t tear up UK industrial strategy’

Government should modernise and adapt rather than start from scratch, say policy experts

Science policy experts have warned against tearing up the UK’s industrial strategy and starting again from scratch as the government announced it would revisit the keystone 2017 policy in light of disruption caused by Covid-19. 

The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) told Research Fortnight it is looking to “refresh the industrial strategy” so it better “reflects this government’s priorities”.
