Comments during Independent Sage sessions illustrate how its online followers perceive science and government

Experts from Independent Sage have said they are proud of the public outreach they have done on Covid-19 science, as they continue to meet in an open online forum until the pandemic is under control.

The unofficial advisory group of high-profile scientists launched just over five months ago, on 4 May, to open up UK science advice on the Covid-19 pandemic. It was launched amid criticisms that the official Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies was being too secretive.
