Solloway says changes will create a positive research culture and reduce red tape
The UK science minister is planning to overhaul the Research Excellence Framework to create a “positive culture which recognises all contributions to research” without “layer upon layer of complex bureaucracy”.
Amanda Solloway said she had asked Research England, which runs the REF for England, to start working with its counterparts in the devolved administrations on a plan for reforms after REF 2021 is complete.
