Conduct research at home where possible, says lockdown guidance

   

In-person research can continue if work cannot be conducted from home, government guidelines say

Academics have been encouraged to continue their research during the national lockdown in England, which is due to commence on 5 November.

According to the Department for Education’s latest guidance for universities, published on 3 November, researchers and research students will be able to continue in-person research activities “if the research work cannot reasonably be conducted from home”.
