Senior figures call for MPs’ inquiry into Horizon association

Call comes as sector leaders say gap in UK’s access to programme now seems inevitable

The newly elected chair of the House of Commons Science and Technology Committee, Greg Clark, is facing calls to launch an urgent inquiry into the UK’s association to the EU’s 2021-27 R&D programme, Horizon Europe.

The calls came at a major meeting organised by the Foundation for Science and Technology at the Royal Society in London on 26 February, parts of which took place under conditions of anonymity.
