Make UK organisation says current system ‘does not always drive the right results’
The UK manufacturing organisation Make UK has called for more support for business R&D, including through a simplified tax credit system, to help the country recover from the Covid-19 pandemic.
The calls come as business secretary Alok Sharma has pushed back on MPs’ call to reveal details on R&D budget plans for 2020 amid the pandemic that has led to the July spending review being delayed.
