Plans are part of ‘new deal’ to ‘build back better’ after coronavirus
A new UK science funding body for high-risk, high reward research, apparently modelled on the Advanced Research Projects Agency in the United States, will be created in the summer, the prime minister has confirmed.
Boris Johnson announced the plans during a visit to Dudley on 30 June, where he promised a “new deal” to deliver jobs, skills and infrastructure to help the country “build back better” after the coronavirus crisis.
