Health Foundation charity calls on government to publish results of pilots

The government should publish evidence that its Covid-19 contact-tracing app for England works, a health charity and an academic have said ahead of the app’s official launch on 24 September.

The government has not released the results of pilots that took place in August among residents of the Isle of Wight and Newham in London, though it claims that the app was shown to work and that it received positive feedback from users.
