Former executive chair of Arts and Humanities Research Council among those honoured
Dozens of academics have been recognised for their contribution to research and higher education in this year’s New Year honours list.
They include Andrew Thompson, the former executive chair of the Arts and Humanities Research Council and a professor of global and imperial history at the University of Oxford, who was appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) for services to research.
