Report finds UK still isn’t ready for Brexit, in fields ranging from chemicals to environment
The UK government has taken the country out of the European Union without making adequate preparation for the new regulatory burdens its institutions will need to take on, a report has warned.
When the transition period ended on 31 December last year, the UK had neither the physical nor IT infrastructures in place to manage its trade relationship with the EU, and is still heavily reliant on those transitional arrangements, according to the report UK Regulation After Brexit.
