BMA sees ‘clear disconnect’ with science over end of Covid rules

       

Upcoming relaxation of restrictions is “incredibly concerning”, says British Medical Association

The British Medical Association has accused the government of failing to follow the science after the prime minister confirmed that most Covid restrictions will soon be scrapped despite surging case numbers.

On 5 July, Boris Johnson announced an end to social distancing, limits on gatherings, as well as the mandatory use of face masks in England. These restrictions are all expected to end on 19 July, subject to a final review on 12 July.
