Government told to adapt post-Brexit systems to encourage “safe and beneficial innovation”

The government must shake up the UK’s approach of genetic technologies, an independent expert on innovation and regulation has said.

The Regulatory Horizons Council, which advises the government on regulatory reform, says overhauling the regulatory system for genetically modified crops and other technologies would encourage “safe and beneficial innovation”.
