Higher education minister says all universities should be equally able to recruit overseas students

The minister for skills, apprenticeships and higher education has disagreed with suggestions that “second tier” universities should have restrictions placed on the number of international students they can recruit.

Speaking to the House of Commons education committee on 13 December, Robert Halfon said that all universities registered with the Office for Students (OfS) should have an equal right to recruit students from overseas.
