George Freeman says government is formulating “coherent and ambitious plan” in case UK association fails
Science minister George Freeman has confirmed plans to spend £6 billion over three years on a replacement for Horizon Europe, if the UK fails to associate to the European Union’s €95.5 billion (£80.1bn) programme.
The UK government has previously promised to invest the funding it would have spent on membership of Horizon Europe in an alternative UK scheme if the country fails to associate.
