Societies urge UK government to deliver on ‘missing’ maths funding

    

Failure to deliver on promised £300 million would be “extremely shortsighted”, says London Mathematical Society

Learned societies have urged the UK government to deliver in full its promise of £300 million for the mathematical sciences.

Originally promised in January 2020, the funding was targeted at “experimental and imaginative mathematical sciences research by the very best global talent over the next five years”.
