Science secretary hints that UK’s Frontier AI Taskforce could provide blueprint for international body

The UK science secretary is hoping a much-trailed summit on artificial intelligence next week will lead to a global research network focused on the risks of the breakthrough technology.

Giving a speech ahead of the event, which the UK is hosting, Michelle Donelan said yesterday that she wants “actual outputs out of the summit” and hinted that the government is interested in setting up an international body focused on AI.
