Conservative conference: Minister claims Dsit enables “relentless” pursuit of science and technology superpower goal

Science secretary Michelle Donelan has said her role in overseeing the digital sector was “frustrating” before the creation of her Whitehall department.

Before the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology was formed in February, Donelan had the digital brief as part of her role as secretary of state in the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS).
