PM’s advisory body calls for more cash for space-based tech

Council for Science and Technology also calls for investment in UK’s R&D in creative industries

The UK government’s investment in space-based technology should match that of similar-sized economies such as France, a non-departmental advisory body has urged.

The UK space sector is worth more than £17.5 billion, the Council for Science and Technology wrote in a letter to ministers, and is “critical to a prosperous economy”.
