Donelan attacks “wokeism”, Freeman pushes place and Keegan demands minimum service at universities

Universities and research featured highly at the Conservative party conference, as ministers used key speeches to attack “wokeism” in research and demand universities provide a “minimum service” even during strikes. 

But there were also promises of more support for regional R&D and warm words for foreign researchers moving here to do their work.
