Hetan Shah says government should publish “chain of reasoning and evidence” for policies

The British Academy’s chief executive has urged the government to publish the reasoning and evidence behind policy decisions to help researchers.

Researchers may have a better understanding of what is happening in the country if they have access to data, Hetan Shah told the House of Commons Public Administration and Constitutional Affairs Committee on 9 November.
