R&D sector to miss Freeman’s ‘enthusiasm and voice of reason’

Praise floods in for outgoing science minister George Freeman, who is replaced by Andrew Griffith

Many across the R&D sector are sad to see George Freeman go as science minister, commenting that his “unmatched enthusiasm” for the job will be missed, as will his “voice of reason” in the science department.

Yesterday’s cabinet reshuffle saw a shock return to government of former prime minister David Cameron, while the science department did not escape changes with the resignation of science minister George Freeman and the sacking of tech minister Paul Scully.
