Global Food Security Summit in London hears of plans for new virtual research centre

The UK government has revealed plans at a summit in London for a virtual international centre that will research resilient crops and identify risks to global food systems.

The Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research, a global food security network, will lead the science centre, which will aim to link researchers across the world to find ways to develop more disease-resistant crops that can withstand the impacts of climate change.
