Government departments fail to address universities’ calls for £170 million bridge funding

The UK government has declined to answer specifically whether it will provide dedicated R&D funding to plug an imminent gap left by EU structural funds no longer being available.

The calls for £170 million in bridge funding for the continuation of 166 university-led research and innovation projects across the UK were first reported in January, including in a Research Professional News article.
