Three scientific societies call for association to EU R&D programme as talks kickstart in Brussels
Three major learned societies have urged the UK prime minister and chancellor to make a “clear commitment” to full participation in Horizon Europe after talks over UK participation in the programme were kickstarted earlier this week.
Association to the bloc’s €95.5 billion (£84bn) R&D programme, together with participation in the nuclear research initiative Euratom and Earth-observation programme Copernicus, have been stalled due to an impasse over trade in Northern Ireland.
