Vivienne Stern calls on government to secure association “quickly” following years of delays

The UK government should not be “penny-wise and pound-foolish” when negotiating the country’s association to the EU’s Horizon Europe programme, the head of the vice-chancellors’ group Universities UK has said.

UK researchers have been frozen out of the €95.5 billion (£85bn) programme for over two years due to trade disputes with the EU over Northern Ireland.
