Former science minister says Dsit will need to maintain close links with other departments
The creation of the UK government Department for Science, Innovation and Technology has “improved things enormously” by linking key policy areas but has also opened up new divides, a former science minister has said.
Speaking at a Foundation for Science and Technology event on the government’s new semiconductor strategy on 24 May, David Willetts (pictured) said the strategy was made possible thanks to the departmental changes made earlier this year.
