Embracing geospatial technologies a key part of revised government strategy

The UK government has revealed how it plans to boost geospatial research over the rest of the decade in partnership with academia and industry.

The renewed Geospatial Strategy, published on 15 June, says the UK is “well-placed to maximise the benefits of geospatial innovation, with a thriving and globally recognised geospatial ecosystem”. However, it warns that this success is “not assured”.
