Department set to spend more than £6.6 billion over four years

The Ministry of Defence expects to “comfortably exceed” its R&D spending target of £6.6 billion by 2025, one of its ministers has revealed.

The department was set the target in the government’s 2020 spending review, which said the money should be spent over four years starting from the financial year of 2021-22.
