Report: University income at risk from end of EU structural funding

National Centre for Universities and Business calls for “meaningful discussion” as funding dries up

The end of EU structural funding poses a risk to the financial sustainability of UK universities, a group representing higher education and business interests has warned.

Over the years, universities across the UK have benefited from millions in investment through EU structural funding, including the European Regional Development Fund, which aims to foster growth and employment in regions where development is lagging.
