
More top researchers plan to leave UK as grants fall through cracks of UK-EU agreement
UK-based winners of EU grants have been left dismayed after being excluded from a deal struck by the government with the EU for access to its huge Horizon Europe funding scheme.
News that the two sides had agreed a deal on UK participation in the €95.5 billion (£85bn) EU programme—after two-and-a-half years of being frozen out of the scheme—was largely met with delight by the UK R&D sector earlier this month.
