Academic says party’s new funding plan needs a long-term approach and broader policy mix

An academic has said Labour’s new National Wealth Fund needs to be part of a wider strategy. This would be to catalyse the development of new technologies to attract the type of investment it is looking for.

Shadow chancellor Rachel Reeves said today that Labour’s new National Wealth Fund will help create 650,000 new jobs over the course of the next parliament, according to news outlets.
