Sector generally welcomes Conservative pledges, including more money for defence R&D

The Conservatives’ manifesto pledges on research and development have been welcomed by some sector leaders.

On 11 June, the Conservative Party released its manifesto for the upcoming general election. The party recommitted to its pledge of spending £22 billion a year on R&D, while other promises on research were generally repeats of previous announcements.
