Ulster windfall funds extra STEM postgrads

The University of Ulster has been allocated £700,000 to fund additional postgraduate places in science, technology, engineering and maths subjects.

The money will cover the fees for 70 fee-free places at the university to study for masters degrees in subjects that include human nutrition, sport and exercise psychology, and professional software development. The funding comes from the Department of Education and Learning.

Applications for the courses are due by 15 January to start at the end of January.
